Momentum Sports Analytics Pty Ltd ('we', 'us', 'our') operates the CourtTime application ('the App'). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your user information security when you use our App.  

We are committed to protecting the data privacy of youth basketball players and their families. The CourtTime application is designed with privacy as a core principle, minimising data collection and keeping personal information under your control.

IMPORTANT: This Privacy Policy covers two services: 

1. CourtTime Mobile App (iOS) - Basketball team management application - Downloaded from the Apple App Store - Privacy-first design with local data storage 

2. Momentum Sports Analytics Website (momentumsportsanalytics.com.au) - Company website with information about CourtTime - Uses cookies and analytics for website improvement only

1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device Only

Player names (first and last names) are stored ONLY on your device and never transmitted to our servers. You must enter player names on each device you use.

Storage details:

• Stored using iOS secure storage (Core Data with encryption at rest)
• Encrypted when your device is locked
• Automatically deleted if you uninstall the app
• Cannot be accessed by Momentum Sports Analytics

1.2 Information We Sync via Apple's CloudKit

The following anonymised team data syncs securely using Apple's CloudKit service:

Team rosters: Jersey numbers and positions only (no names)
Game statistics: Performance data linked to jersey numbers
Substitution history: Playing time records
Game details: Dates, scores, opposition teams

How it works:

• End-to-end encryption in transit (TLS 1.3)
• Encryption at rest on Apple's servers
• Data stored in Apple's Australia/Asia-Pacific data centres
• Only you can connect jersey numbers to player names using locally-stored information

Data Retention: Synced data is retained while your subscription is active and for 90 days after cancellation to allow for renewal. After 90 days, it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

1.3 Account Information

When you create a CourtTime account, we collect:

Required:

• First name, surname
• Email address
• Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)

Optional:

• Primary club, association, country

1.4 Subscription Information

All payments are processed by Apple. We receive ONLY:

• Subscription tier and status
• Start and renewal dates
• Receipt token for verification
• Country of purchase

We NEVER receive:

• Credit card numbers
• Bank details
• Billing addresses
• Any payment method information

Promotional codes: If you use a promo code, we record the code used, redemption date, and subscription tier granted for accounting purposes.

1.5 Diagnostic Data (Collected Automatically)

For app stability and improvement, we collect anonymised:

• Crash reports (device model, iOS version, crash logs)
• Performance metrics (app launch time, feature usage)
• Device type and app version

This data cannot be linked to individual users and is automatically deleted after 90 days.

1.6 Information We Do NOT Collect

• ❌ Health, fitness, or biometric data

We use collected information only for:  

- Account Management: Creating and maintaining your CourtTime application account  

- Service Delivery: Providing App functionality and features  

- Subscription Management: Processing payments and managing subscription status  

- Customer Support: Responding to your questions and resolving technical issues  

- App Improvement: Fixing bugs and enhancing performance  

- Communication: Sending important service updates and subscription reminders  

We prioritize data privacy and will NEVER:  

- Sell your information to third parties  

- Use your data for advertising purposes  

- Share player information with anyone, ensuring user information security.

The CourtTime application is designed for use by coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers, rather than directly by children. 

How Player Privacy Works: 

- Player names are stored ONLY on the coach's device (like a digital notebook) 

- Player names NEVER leave the coach's device or transmit to our servers 

- We (Momentum Sports Analytics) never see, access, or store player names 

- Anonymous team data (jersey numbers, statistics) syncs via CloudKit for the coach's convenience across their devices 

Coach Best Practices: While we don't require formal consent (as names are stored locally like a paper roster), coaches should: 

- Inform parents that they're using the CourtTime application to track playing time and statistics 

- Explain that player names stay on the coach's personal device only 

- Respect parent requests not to record their child's information 

- Follow their club or association's existing data privacy policies 

- Keep their device secure with a passcode 

For Parents: If you have concerns about your child's information: 

- Ask your coach what information they're recording (names, jersey numbers, statistics) 

- Request to see your child's playing time and statistics 

- Ask the coach to remove your child's name from their device if desired 

- Contact us at support@momentumsportsanalytics.com.au if you cannot resolve concerns with the coach 

Important: Coaches are using their personal devices to record information for team management purposes, similar to keeping a paper roster or notebook. The CourtTime application provides the tool for this purpose, but does not collect or control user information security.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes, ensuring the highest standards of data privacy and user information security for our CourtTime application users.

Limited Third-Party Services:

We use the following trusted third-party services:

- Apple App Store & StoreKit: For subscription payments. When you purchase a subscription: * Your payment is processed entirely by Apple * We receive only: subscription status, renewal date, and a receipt token * We NEVER see your credit card details or payment information * Apple's Privacy Policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

- Apple CloudKit: For secure cloud data storage (Apple's privacy policy applies)

- Manual Email Support: Account-related emails sent from support@momentumsportsanalytics.com.au * We only use your email for direct communication * No automated email marketing tools or third-party providers

These services are carefully selected for their strong privacy practices and are bound by strict data processing agreements. We will only share your information if:

- Required by law (e.g., court order, subpoena)

- Necessary to protect our rights or safety

- You explicitly request it (e.g., exporting your data)

You have the following rights regarding your information in relation to the CourtTime application:  

Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.  

Correction: Update any incorrect or incomplete information.  

Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data to enhance your data privacy.  

Export: Download your account information in a portable format.  

Objection: Object to the processing of your information.  

Withdrawal: Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Player Data on Your Device: Remember, player names and team data stored on your device via the CourtTime application are under your direct control. You can export this data from within the app or delete it by uninstalling the app.

At CourtTime, we take data privacy and user information security very seriously, implementing industry-standard measures to protect your data:

Technical Measures:

- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit

- Encryption at rest for cloud-stored data

- Local device encryption for player information

- Secure authentication using Apple Sign In

- Regular security audits and updates

Organisational Measures:

- Access to data limited to essential personnel only

- Incident response procedures

- Regular backup and disaster recovery procedures

Your Responsibilities:

- Keep your device secure with a passcode or biometrics

- Don't share your account credentials

- Keep your CourtTime application updated to the latest version

- Report any security concerns immediately

Security Breach Notification: In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will:

1. Notify affected users within 72 hours via email

2. Report to relevant authorities as required by law

3. Take immediate action to secure systems

4. Provide clear guidance on protective steps you can take

The CourtTime application is specifically designed for Australian users, ensuring data privacy and user information security. Your data is primarily stored in Australia using Apple's CloudKit service, which may utilise Apple's Asia-Pacific data centres. If you access the CourtTime application outside of Australia, your data may still be transferred to and stored in Australia. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.

In accordance with the data privacy requirements set by Apple's App Store, the CourtTime application collects the following user information: 

Data Linked to You: 

- Contact Information: Email address, first name, surname 

- Usage Data: Subscription status, app version, device type (for support purposes only) 

Data Not Collected: 

- We do NOT collect: Precise location, browsing history, search history, photos, audio, financial information, health data, contacts, or advertising data 

Data Not Linked to You: 

- Crash data and basic diagnostic information (device model, iOS version) are gathered solely for troubleshooting purposes, ensuring user information security.

CourtTime does NOT utilize any advertising cookies or tracking pixels, nor do we employ third-party analytics tools, cross-app tracking, or behavioral profiling. Our commitment to data privacy ensures that we only use essential technical cookies necessary for the CourtTime application, which include keeping you logged in, remembering your app preferences locally, and enabling secure communication with our servers. Should we decide to introduce analytics tools, such as Firebase, for the purpose of app improvement, we will update this policy and notify you in advance to uphold user information security.

As a California resident, you benefit from additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which are essential for your data privacy: 

- Right to know what personal information is collected, including details related to the CourtTime application.

- Right to deletion of personal information to enhance user information security.

- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (Note: We do NOT sell any data).

The CourtTime application utilizes automated calculations for: - Substitution recommendations based on playing time - Plus/minus statistics - Playing time balancing These features serve as coaching tools only. Importantly, no automated decisions are made that significantly affect users without human oversight, ensuring data privacy and user information security.

In the unlikely event that Momentum Sports Analytics is acquired, merged, or sells assets, your user information security may be impacted as your information could be transferred to the new owner. We will: - Notify you via email before any transfer - Ensure that the new owner adheres to this privacy policy and maintains data privacy - Provide you the option to delete your account before the transfer of your information, especially concerning the CourtTime application.

We are committed to ensuring that our Privacy Policy is accessible to all users of the CourtTime application.
